Customer Reviews of Cuisipro Cupcake Corer

Cuisipro Cupcake Corer

New From: $4.35 USD In Stock

Cupcakes are still as popular to make as ever.  And people are getting more and more creative when it comes to making them look and taste that bit different.

The Cuisipro Cupcake Corer helps you to cut a hole in the center of your cupcake so that you can fill it with something delicious.

It’s easy to use – all you have to do is twist the gadget into the middle of your cooked cupcake, and that’s it!  There is a flower shaped guard which tells you how far to push the plunger. Remove the corer and push down on the plunger to push out the core.  Be creative and make a new dessert from these! Donut holes anyone?!  Then all you have to do is fill your cupcake with cream, jam, butter cream or whatever you feel like.

The Cupcake Corer measures 2.8 x 2.2 x 2.2 inches and is top rack dishwasher safe.

Pros

All of the customer reviews said how easy they found this product to use.  They said that it made filling cupcakes much easier and less messy.

Especially for people who need to make a lot of cupcakes at a time, this really saves on time and effort.

Cons

Customer Reviews of Joseph Joseph Adjustable Rolling Pin

Joseph Joseph Adjustable Rolling Pin, Green

New From: $59.99 USD In Stock

As innovative and imaginative as ever, Joseph Joseph have designed this stylish and useful gadget for your kitchen.  To ensure that you get an even thickness in your pastry, icing or pasta dough, use the adjustable discs on your rolling pin to raise or lower the rolling pin to the correct height.

This will ensure that whatever you are making will cook evenly and not burn in some places and be undercooked in others.  It also creates a completely flat surface which is then much easier to decorate.

There are also measurements etched into the rolling pin which serve as a useful size guide.

The discs allow you to create the thicknesses of 1/16-inch, 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch.  Made from beech, and measuring 16-1/2-inch long and 2-1/2-inch diameter, this rolling pin is both easy to clean, and easy to store!

Pros

One customer compared using this rolling pin to special rubber bands that you can buy for other rolling pins.  She much prefers this Joseph Joseph rolling pin because the discs are rigid and produce consistent results every time, rather than the rubber bands which slip and slide around and are harder to work with.

Other people also said that the rolling pin was very easy to clean.

Most people also really liked the measurements that are etched into the rolling pin as it makes sizing your dough much easier.

Cons

One improvement that could be made which was suggested by one customer was to designing the same rolling pin but with “spinning” handles to make it easier to work with.

The biggest complaint was that it doesn’t come with  1/8″ discs  as this is a fairly common thickness for pastry.

The etchings in the rolling pin can make it a little bit tricky for rolling out fondant or gumpaste as the markings can show up in your rolled out paste.

Overall the comments are great for this handy little gadget that looks elegant and is also functional. Particularly if you enjoy making pastry, pies, pizzas and cookies, this rolling pin is for you!!

Customer Reviews of Wiltons Cup Cake Decorating Set

Make the funkiest, prettiest and most ooh-and-ahh worthy cupcakes!

The set includes four of Wilton’s tips – 1M, 22, round tip 12 and Bismark tip 230. You also get 8 heavy duty plastic disposable icing bags, and an easy to follow instruction booklet.

So what do the customers think?

Pros

Even customers who said that they were complete beginners and who had never decorated cupcakes before said that this set and it’s instructions were “idiot-proof”. Easy to use with fantastic results.

The decorating tips that are included are a good place to start – you can create a variety of beautiful and professional looking cupcakes, and even fill them with delicious jams, buttercreams and other fillings.

The disposable bags that are included are tough and durable and stand up to inexperienced squeezing!

Cons

One customer said that she found it easy to use, but messy. Another said that the bags that she received had small holes in them, and the icing came out and made a mess. One person felt that the bags were too small, and would have preferred larger sized bags with the kit.

Another customer said that she felt that the kit should have contained couplers.  She said that it worked fine without them, but would have been even better with them.

Tips From Customers

One customer said that when the disposable plastic bags that are included in the kit have been used up, she uses ziplock bags, cuts the corner off the bag, and inserts the tips. Cheap and easy!

Although these cutters are advertised as for use with fondant, most people found the fondant too sticky and soft to use with these tappits. They reported much better results using gumpaste.

Tips From Customers

Use gumpaste rather than fondant.
Dust your surface and the cutter with some cornstarch to stop sticking.
After you have cut out the letter, rub it across the surface f your hand with a little cornstarch to get rid of any ragged edges.
Practice rolling out the gumpaste to the correct thickness.
Once you have rolled out your gumpaste thinly, let it sit for a couple of minutes before cutting.
