Online Cake Decorating ClassI am sure that you have seen ads for Craftsy online courses all over the Internet. Well, are they any good?! I have been very impressed with the cake decorating class that I am part of the way through! I chose Vintage Cakes, Modern Methods and the video is excellent for talking you through every single detail, and the printouts and extra help are also great. Online Cake Decorating Class

I have discovered a new website called Craftsy!  It is a fantastic resource for people to learn all sorts of crafts online in the comfort of their own home, online.  One of the great sections of this site is the fabulous cake decorating courses.

I have started watching one on “Vintage Cakes – Modern Methods” and will be able to write a bit more about it when I have finished.  But what I do like so far is the easy to follow, step-by-step modules that you can follow at your own pace.  There are also great downloadable sheets for templates, ingredients, tools and ideas that you can use to create your own cake.

The instructors are well known and experienced cake decorators (such as Colette Peters. You can read an interview with her here!).  They explain everything very clearly, and it’s so easy to follow when you can see the various techniques demonstrated.
