- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3 cups (360g) powdered sugar
- ½ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream or milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat butter on medium speed until smooth.
- Sift in powdered sugar and cocoa powder, then beat on low to combine.
- Add heavy cream (or milk) and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
- Increase speed and beat for 3–5 minutes until fluffy.
- If too thick, add a bit more cream; if too thin, add more powdered sugar.
- Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
